Brightline West: Connecting the Future of Transportation
Brightline West will be the first true high-speed rail system in the United States, linking Las Vegas with Southern California through a 218-mile, all-electric line.
With top speeds of 200 mph, it will cut travel time to just around 2 hours — twice as fast as driving.
The project will feature three full-service stations:
Beyond improving regional connectivity, Brightline West promotes sustainable innovation by reducing over 400,000 metric tons of CO₂ annually and creating more than 10,000 jobs during construction.
This modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly infrastructure will redefine mobility across the Southwest corridor of the U.S.
Mr. van der Laak (CEO of OvdL Consulting), Fiona Ma (California State Treasurer), and Arne List (CEO of By American Energy Technology) met to discuss opportunities and collaboration in advancing sustainable high-speed rail and renewable energy projects in the region.
This initiative marks a milestone in the modernization of U.S. transportation — faster, greener, and built for the future.
